Bachelor’s Degree – basic geological training in the specializations:

Geology (3 years), in Romanian and Hungarian;
Geological Engineering (4 years), in Romanian.

Teaching activities are conducted over two semesters of 14 weeks each, with a weekly average of 20–26 hours of lectures, seminars, and practical work.
The educational activities are followed by exam sessions lasting 4 weeks each.
The practical training is usually organized after the summer exam session, and in the final year, it is dedicated to preparing the bachelor’s degree project.

The curriculum includes fundamental subjects (providing basic training in geology), specialized subjects (for specialization in specific geological fields), and complementary subjects (ensuring the foundation of general university education).
The subjects are categorized as mandatory or optional, with each subject being assigned a certain number of credits.
Introductory notions are taught about the Earth’s structure, processes within the planet and on its surface, and the mysteries of minerals, fossils, and rocks are unveiled.

Building a strong geological career can be achieved by participating in master’s and doctoral programs.

Master’s Degree – advanced studies and scientific research in the specializations:

Applied Geology (2 years)
