Online registration for candidates who are citizens of Romania – required documents
During the registration period, the candidate uploads, in .pdf format, to the registration platform, the following documents:
1. The registration form generated in the platform together with the declaration of consent to the processing of personal data
a. These documents will be generated automatically by entering the data by the candidate on the online registration platform. To generate the registration form, it is necessary to enter, in the online registration platform, personal identification data according to the identity card/identity card/passport, birth certificate and/or marriage certificate, the name of the doctoral supervisor for whose place the application is being made and other information regarding the admission options.
2. Application form containing the declaration of ethnicity, according to the model on the website of the Institute of Doctoral Studies – only for candidates who opt for places reserved for Roma ethnicity
3. Curriculum vitae
4. List of published scientific papers (if applicable)
5. Language proficiency certificate valid on the date of taking the exam
admission, if applicable.
6. Diplomas: baccalaureate diploma; diploma of completion of undergraduate studies (with the related annexes as appropriate: transcript of records or diploma supplement); advanced studies/master’s diploma (with the related annexes as appropriate: transcript of records or diploma supplement);
Observations:
a. Candidates who passed the dissertation exam in the sessions of the current academic year may present upon registration, instead of the master’s degree, the certificate issued by the educational institution, which states the general average, the averages obtained in the years of study, the number of transferable study credits acquired, the validity period and the fact that the diploma has not been issued.
b. Studies completed abroad are proven by certificates of equivalence (both for bachelor’s and master’s studies), issued by the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED), attached to the relevant Ministry. The cumulative number of transferable study credits acquired, according to the diplomas recognized by CNRED, must be at least 300. In the case of CNRED certificates issued with an electronic signature, the electronic version of this document will be submitted.
7. Birth certificate;
8. Marriage certificate (only in case of change of birth name through marriage);
9. Administrative document of name change (if applicable).
10. Identity card/bulletin/ or passport for citizens outside of Romania .
11. Document (receipt, payment order, postal order) proving payment of the fee
for the admission competition.
a. The admission fee (consisting of the registration fee and the processing fee according to the Regulation on admission, tuition and completion fees for the 2025-2026 academic year of UBB) is paid by the candidate using one of the following payment options:
• P1 – online in the admission application
• P2 – at the University cashier’s office, 14 IC Brătianu Street, with working hours Monday-Friday (Saturday and Sunday: closed);
• P3 – at any post office, by money order, to the account RO35TREZ21620F330500XXXX, opened at the Treasury of Cluj-Napoca;
• P4 – by payment order, at any bank, to the account RO35TREZ21620F330500XXXX, of Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, opened at the Treasury of Cluj-Napoca. UBB fiscal code: 4305849.
On the payment document, if the payment is made according to (P3) or (P4), the name of the candidate will be specified, as well as the mention “Processing fee and registration fee for the doctoral competition, Babeș-Bolyai University, Faculty of …” The resulting receipt, when the payment is made according to (P2), (P3) or (P4), will be uploaded to the registration platform and will be found in the confirmation file.
