Habilitation

Habilitation procedure

The habilitation follows the guidelines anchored in the legislation and supervised by the Institute for Doctoral Studies (for now only available in Romanian). There are six stages for obtaining the habilitation cetrtificate:

1. Habilitation thesis

Preparation of the habilitation disertations (see guidelines)

2. Application

Submission of thesis and all the required documents to the Institute for Doctoral Studies. Documents to prepare: (i) request, (ii) consent to personal data, (iii) statement of originality

3. Evaluation by DSIB

Appointment by DSIB of an internal committee which evaluates whether the criteria are fulfilled. Documents to prepare: (i) committee appointment, (ii conflict of interest statement, (iii) evaluation report

4. Habilitation committee

Appointment bu DSIB of an habilitation committee which will evaluate the thesis and the public defense and will make a recommendation to award/not award of the certificate. Documents to prepare: (i) appointment of the committee by SDBI, (ii) consent to membership, (iii) evaluation report

5. Public defense

Public defense of the habilitation thesis in front of the habilitation committee. Documents to prepare: (i) protocol

6. Certification

Evaluation of the complete habilitation record by the Biology committee of the Ministry for Education and Research followed by the decision to award/not award the certificate
