Why joining the Doctoral School Integrative Biology as faculty ?
DSIB is the department which organizes doctoral studies in the field of Biology. Guiding and graduating Ph.D. studies is an essential step of the academic career. Being a Ph.D. supervisior in SDBI gives the opportunity to develop novel research projects and to guide graduate students through their early career steps which are defining the future development of their professional lives. In DSIB, we strive to offer graduate students optimal conditions in terms of supervision and infrastructure for their research projects.
The steps in becoming a Ph.D. supervisor within SDBI are:
- Obtaining an habilitation certificate (certificate granting Ph.D. supervision roles) in Biology or related fields
- Equivalencing the habilitation certificate if obtained in a different field than Biology
- Affilitating to DSIB (for details, consult our guidelines)
- Supervising graduate students
