The scientific resort of UBB – Danubius is located in the town of Coronini, Caraș-Severin county, on the banks of the Danube, in the Portile de Fier Natural Park. The resort has two scientific laboratories coordinated by the faculties of Babeș-Bolyai University and equipped at a higher level: the Biogeography and Conservation of Biodiversity Laboratory coordinated by the Faculty of Biology and Geology, respectively the Laboratory for the Investigation of Environmental Factors coordinated by the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering. In addition to the research infrastructure, the resort offers accommodation, catering facilities and spaces for the organization of educational activities, being intended, at the same time, for the specialized practice of students from all study programs within the university, as well as the organization of seminars, workshops and scientific mini-conferences, summer schools. The resort has two buildings.​
